So United signed David Bellion and are going to give Sunderland cash from the tribunal they've asked for, which is fair enough, can't argue with that.

What is incredible, though is the 31million PSG are asking for Ronaldinho. Yes, I'd like him to come, but if Beckham's only worth 25m then Ronnie's not going for that kind of wedge.

And Jimbo Jimbo turns out to not be a rumour after all, but I still think that the Old Trafford quota of non-EU players is creeping up to the way-too-many mark.

Sad. So sad. Too sad to blog last night that the lacklustre Braves were pounded 1-20 by the Marlins last night. Sure, I can point the finger at the batters not having a great time, but the truth of it is if you stop the other team scoring then they can't beat you, and our pitchers aren't doing that.

Bobby Cox defended the performance by saying it was one of those nights where every Marlins hit found a hole in his fielding. No, Bobby, it was one of those nights where your $9m a year and more players just didn't show up.

I'm all for players getting paid for the entertainment value they provide us with, but on last night's, and a few others this last fortnight, performance, the opposition should be paying the team.

On a lighter note, Darren Bragg's bat snapped in the 7th with a piece of it hitting a photographer causing substantial bleeding and a delay of play. Nice to know that someone knows how to hit.

Since it's raining here, and I mean really hard, I didn't get to the Falcons' training camp, but I'll try to see them when I get back from Chicago.

I had hoped to see either Detroit or Chicago playing while I'm away, but the only game is the White Sox in Detroit on Tuesday, and they're both terrible teams so I'll have to settle for going to a Braves game when I come home.
