Huzzars!
Well, it only took thirteen innings for the Braves to avoid a sweep in the series with the Marlins. John Smoltz got the save as the Braves garnered a magnificent 2-1 win over the Florida team.
Go Braves!
But seriously...it's time for a new pitching order - I'm talking about bringing Smoltz out as a starter instead of a closer and making Grybowski wrap the game up. That should ease up the pressure on the batters to perform like they did through April and apply a little more pressure on some of the pitchers to step up.
Anyhow, thirteen innings. Some might say that I'm being a little hard on the guys, but dammit thirteen innings to beat a team that only got it's W-L record up to .500 by beating the Braves twice this week. It sucks.
Okay, I'm going to bed and there'd better be some definite word to the yay or nay about Ronaldinho waiting for me when I wake up or there'll be a number of names taken and an appropriate number of asses kicked.
